Modojo v3.0 Bugs & Improvements

I would like to thank everyone for providing feedback on the new site. A pixel off here, a font size too big there. We've added a lot in this upgrade but we still need your help in getting everything working correctly. This is a work in progress so please bare with us while we try to build a home everyone can enjoy.

If you have a request for an improvement on the new site, please add a comment to this blog post. Although we won't be able to do everything, this list will help us fix the most prevalent issues. If you have a bug that needs fixing, please help us out and include your browser and platform.

Finally, whether you love the new changes or hate them, please realize that there will always be more to come. Modojo is one of the top destinations for mobile and handheld gaming, and now we want to be a top community destination as well. We need our forum veterans to not only help us build a better forum, but a better site. This site is built on communication and that's how we plan to improve upon it as well. If there's something you miss or something you wished you could do on MO, let us know because we'll always be looking to strengthen and improve upon your experience.

Those are two weird bugs but I'll let everyone know. What browser and OS are you using by the way?

Sometimes when trying to navigate using the "Forum Jump" drop down menu (thank you for getting it back!), it gives me the following message:

Sith Ninja, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

It happened when trying to go to "Video" from "Sports," but did not happen when using it to go to "Video" from "Video." Also happened when trying to go to "The War Room" from "Chit Chat."

Also, when I first load any page, whether in the forums or even this page, it keeps loading stuff and making the "click" noise you would hear when you "click" on something with your mouse. I don't know what it's loading, but it's f'n annoying.

Thanks for the comments. Chatin, good point, I'll make note of that as we're currently exploring some possibilities. Scott, I'll msg you about that because I had that bug too for a bit on FF. Not sure why, but we'll do some research.

I am having a very difficult time browsing the site with Firefox. There are instances where it just won't load at all. Using Internet Exlporer, however, the site loads very fast.

Definately a change to get used to, but I'm willing to try. It would make things a lot easier if you could toggle the Want/Own/Playing status on games from the search results menu rather than having to go to each page and do each game separately, though.

I think the new Mo is excellent, and I'd like to congratulate you and Patrick and everyone else that contributed for doing a bang-up job. It isn't perfect (a lot of the forum issues I have were already brought up in the Mo3 forum thread), but that's why there's a big "beta" notice under the logo, in my eyes.

I really like the new colors, and the new left-oriented navigation.
