The prodigal son wakes from a coma

So I didn't pick up guitar again. Nor did I post for four months up in this beyotch. Who is to blame? Sex, drugs and work I presume. Regardless, as I have developped a cult following of sorts (by which I mean my girlfriend and a creepy dude who shall remain nameless) I will begin blogging anew, and this time with consistency, contingency and agency.

And so begins my new blog;

It would seem that Hillary "pass the 8-ball" Duff has decided to grace Toronto with her (ever diminishing) presence. She was in town last night for a 'concert'. Let me just make it perfectly clear that the only thing worse than Hillary Duff's new teeth is her so-called 'music'.
Once upon a time I was channel surfing while washing the dishes (using my sixth toe to change channels) when I came across a channel which I enjoyed. I was halfway through singing along with Hillary to "Break through the rain" when I realized the sound was not Hillary's music but two mildly retarded baboons killing eachother on the discovery channel.
That is of course not to say I don't like Hillary...well I don't. But it's not to say I didn't USE TO like her! She used to be a cute, in that aww look at the little blonde girl smiling on my tv kind of way. Now she's just another little hoebag trying to look all mature and act slutty.

the prodigal son returns...stds abound

So Avenged Sevenfold came and went...many months ago. My girlfriend wasn't feeling well and we had to leave midway through but hey. She took me to see Coheed and Cambria a week later as an apology of sorts which rocked, so I only beat her once.

Anyhow, the point of this is that as of TODAY i'm picking up guitar...again. But now i plan on sticking to it. I will keep my progress updates in here and hopefully I can be playing Slayer in a few weeks...months...years? Damnit. Anyhow, I start todays.

Going to see Avenged Sevenfold tonight! It's going to be great, these guys are absolutely fantastic live from what i've been told and i love the new album. The opening bands seem pointless so i'll try and skip as many as possible, hopefully with success. I'm taking my girlfriend who hasn't heard of the band until like a week ago, but she likes what she's heard so all should be well. I've also got myself a nice little marijuana cigarette prepared to spice up the occasion, maybe i'll grab a bite to eat after smoking the bad boy. In any case, this should be good fun for all.

sleepless in toronto

I can't sleep with someone else in my bed. I went over to the girlfriend's last night and after we did the deed a few times i got mighty tired and didn't feel like going home. I sort of passed out, but with her in the bed i keep waking up every hour or so, i can't get any solid sleep. I think in the future if i am ever living with a woman we'll have to have two separate beds...i'm even willing to make concessions...like, i'll be more than happy to cuddle and what not until she falls asleep and then go on to my own bed, but i can't sleep with her there, even if she is mighty comfortable.

The store will open finally in 15 minutes, i can buy some bread and milk and make some eggs for breakfast.

I'm really only doing this because my first blog entry somehow didn't show up in the 'recently submitted blogs' thing.

anyway...last week my powersupply started dying...i bought a new one, but as i was putting it in i chipped the bracket on my cpu heatsink...i know, how fucking stupid. Anyway, the cpu heatsink couldn't be replaced because it was old...so i had to get a new motherboard...and a new cpu...and new ram (because my old mobo used rambus)...and a new graphics card because the new mobo had no agp slot...and a i had to actually pay for XP because the guy wouldn't use a stolen copy to do what he had to do...so it all cost like $1000 but now i have a pretty good computer...it's an athlon 64 3400, a gig of ram, and a sapphire x800...it's not TOP OF THE LINE, but it's pretty good and i can upgrade that shit...so i'm pretty happy.
