Take On Me, Take Me On ...

It's hard to be a child of the 80s and not remember the classic video for A-Ha's track "Take On Me." The integration of pencil sketch animation to live action looked like something out of a cartoon, or dare I say, a videogame. With that song still in mind, I've taken particular notice to the new music video released by the Japanese debut group, The Genki Rockets.
The song, "Heavenly Star," returns the seamless blend of animation and live action that A-ha made famous in their video. However, "Heavenly Star" one-ups their ancestry in my mind, by making their song particularly for a video game. That game being Lumines 2.
Check out the video to see the 80s classic reborn in favor of puzzle game glory:
... and for those not familair with the classic itself, A-Ha's "Take On Me" can be found here. Boss stuff indeed.
