Capcom loves them some PSP!

Today marks the release of Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded, another 19 Capcom classics in one handy little collection. The games may not be fully up to par with what was included in the first collection, but there's still some gems here for two-player fighting, including Street Fighter II, Knights of the Round, and King of Dragons. Not bad for $30. But...why Eco Fighter?

Anyway, Capcom Puzzle World drops in a couple of weeks for a similar reasonable price. It includes two classics that cannot be overlooked, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo and Buster Bros. Collection. Between both of these, players are bound to find hours' worth of entertainment. Hell, SPFII Turbo alone is going to guarantee a wear-out of AdHoc.

Look for reviews on both of these soon.

its..... PINK!

So, i got my dirty, dirty man hands all over a pink PSP today. Is it gonna be a hit with the ladies? Hmmm, we'll see. The actual color of the unit is quite literally SHOCKING PINK though, like some lurid strawberry milkshake. The package it ships with, which costs more than a standard value pack, does contain extra goodies. If you can call them that... You get a bonus U.M.D... featuring video footage of the artiste PINK, as in music vids, some concert footage and interviews. I think.. Really wasn't paying that much attention, just handling it while thinking ' its PINK... hurry up and put it DOWN! '.

Mmmmm, i could almost taste its sweeet, strawberry centre. Turned out it tasted of plastic and metal tho.

R.I.P. Lik-Sang

As you've probably heard by now, Lik-Sang will soon be closing its doors thanks to Sony. Sony claims that it's trying to protect consumers from things like using the wrong power adapter. I don't know who actually believes this to be true. This actually sounds like Sony is angry that Lik-Sang is selling hardware to territories that they're not supposed to. (Ironically, several high-ranking Sony employees were on the list of people who imported PSPs from Lik-Sang to Europe. I wonder if they're going to be punished?)

Playing the devil's advocate here, Lik-Sang is in the wrong for violating their agreement with Sony about not selling Sony's products outside of the designated regions. I don't understand why the whole business has to shut down though -- Lik-Sang sells more than just Sony products.

The only thing to do now is hope that Play-Asia doesn't fall victim next. Where else would we go for our moon-language imports if they do?

I can't remember where I originally noticed this deal, but I give someone credit, whoever that may be. Toys "R" Us is offering there entire stock of video games (excluding preorders) for "Buy Two Get One Free." They have a nice collection of DS titles, and a comfortable selection of titles for other platforms. The potential to save the most comes in purchasing something like two Xbox 360 games, and receiving another free; a $59.99 discount. Very nice.

I used the deal to pick up copies of Trauma Center (29.99) and Clubhouse Games (29.99), and receive Beatmania (29.95) for Playstation 2 as a free gift. Considering I was purchasing the other games anyways, it's like a little bonus gift just for buying them sooner instead of later. This could also potentially lead to a nice gift for yourself while doing the Christmas shopping for others. The deal ends October 28, so get shopping now.

Full TERMS AND CONDITIONS from Toys "R" Us:
Offer valid only while supplies last and not applicable to canceled orders due to out-of-stock merchandise. Order must be confirmed by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on October 28, 2006 to receive discount. Discount is not applicable to gift cards and gift certificates. Discount does not apply to taxes, shipping and handling charges, gift-wrapping or similar charges. Discount not applicable with returned merchandise; total discount will be deducted from the value of any returned item to which the discount applied. This offer is not valid on previous purchases. This promotional offer may be modified or terminated at any time without notice. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to unauthorized, altered, or ineligible use of a discount.

Bit Generations in your ear

I've been hypnotized by screenshots from the Bit Generations series for months now, but I've yet to find the courage to actually import any of the titles. I guess you can say I am one step closer, however - after listening to the different soundtracks, I really have an itch to see what the accompanying gameplay is like. If the spacey sounds are any indication of what's in store when I jump in the game then I know I'm in for a real treat. A poster from the NeoGAF forums was kind enough to rip the songs from each title, and each time I start a track up I am continually surprised at how much quality stands behind the sounds of this series. Some of this seems like it could've been handpicked straight from Kid A.

Tracklist:

01 Dotstream - Title
02 Dotstream - Selection Screen
03 Dotstream - Sonic 1
04 Dotstream - Sonic 2
05 Dotstream - Sonic 3
06 Dotstream - Sonic 4
07 Dotstream - Sonic 5
08 Dotstream - End Race
09 Dotstream - Race Result
10 Boundish - Title
11 Boundish - Pool Flower
12 Boundish - Box Juggling
13 Boundish - Power Slider
14 Boundish - Human League
15 Boundish - Wild Go Round
16 Dialhex - Title
17 Dialhex - Endless Hip-Hop
18 Dialhex - Endless Groove
19 Coloris - Intro
20 Coloris - Prizes 01
21 Coloris - Prizes 02
22 Orbital - Title
23 Orbital - Select Galaxy
24 Orbital - First Galaxy
25 Digidrive - Title
26 Digidrive - Menu
27 Soundvoyager - Title
28 Soundvoyager - Aural Path
29 Soundvoyager - Voyage
30 Soundvoyager - Rain Race Dub

The Dotstream soundtrack is pretty boring, but don't let that stop you from listening to the rest of the tracks. There are some real gems in there, and its a shame that most of these will never see the light of day on store shelves outside of Japan.
