Halloween sucks now

Things that ruined Halloween:
1. It was on a Monday. All the kids had to go home early to get to sleep to get up for the next day's school, work, etc.
2. 4pm trick-or-treaters. Parents had their kids out early and usually stopped around 7-8. How sad.
3. Babies in strollers with their parents trick-or-treating. If your kid isn't old enough to walk 4 blocks with you, just BUY him/her candy. Considering the stroller, they might not even have stable teeth to chew it yet!
4. Houses with festive decorations. Nightmare before christmas? That's not very scary. I remember 4-5 years ago, I'd be walking with friends around town and neighbors would drop down spiders and stuff from the trees trying to scare kids, now they want things to look happy and cute?
5. Driver-Dad parents. Various families that we saw drove their kids from block to block. It used to be that you'd walk around and look for houses with lights on that looked like they'd offer candy. There were so many houses with lights off, it's no wonder they were driving from block to block.
Halloween is dead.
