Used games ...

Used games have been a pretty popular topic as of late, and most agree that purchasing used games benefits the industry in basically no way at all. I agree with all the points they make, and I too feel that used games are really hurting developers. The only problem is ... I just can't stop buying them. It's shameful for me to admit it, and I wish there were an alternative; but the truth is that I love games, and the only opportunity I have to play most games is to buy them used. Saving $5 or $10 may seem like something of little importance to some, but I'm poor man ... I'm in college ... on the Ramen diet if you know what I'm saying. I suppose my only saving throw is that while I buy used games, if a game is truly amazing in my opinion; I buy it new. I also don't sell my games, so at least I'm not contributing to the epidemic in that way. Basically, I just wanted to admit that I just bought:
Sonic Rush
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Kirby: Canvas Curse
and Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time
... all used. Please don't hate me, Oh god of gaming!

I'm very happy to be here at Modojo. ...and not just regular happy either. Like ... apple pie happy, or cherry on the milkshake happy, or Thanksgiving dinner happy.
